A great Creole house, between sky and sea
Four minutes from Vincendo beach, turned towards the ocean like a benevolent lookout, La Belle du Sud seems to have always been here — between sky and sea, carried by the trade winds and lulled by the shifting light of the tropics.
Built on three levels, the house pays tribute to the great Creole houses of the past — those built to last, to breathe with their surroundings, to welcome families, friends and passing travellers. Wood, generous volumes, open verandas and traditional craftsmanship blend with contemporary comfort: the charm of the past is not a stage set, it is a living memory.
The heart of the house beats around a vast living room bathed in light, opening onto the horizon. It overlooks an elegant infinity pool whose waters seem to join those of the ocean — the eye naturally drifts away, drawn to the endless blue in the distance.
All around, a lush garden embraces the house: palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees and fragrant species form a green setting that keeps the house cool, even at the height of the austral summer. Birds give their morning concerts while the scents accompany late afternoons.
Inside, every space celebrates the Réunionese art of living: a majestic open kitchen that invites sharing, a large lounge to retreat to after the day’s discoveries, and a billiard table for peaceful evenings when time no longer matters.
The house has four bedrooms, four worlds named after the island’s treasures — Ylang-Ylang, Carambole, Coco-Vanille and the Panoramic Suite. Each has its own personality, atmosphere and light, but all share the same promise: a refuge where you immediately feel at home.
This house was not designed to be admired, but to be lived in.

Perched facing the Indian Ocean, in the heart of the Sud Sauvage, La Belle du Sud is a Creole property surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. With only four bedrooms, everything has been designed for an intimate and elegant atmosphere.

The eye wanders between lush vegetation, volcanic cliffs and the immensity of the Indian Ocean.

12 × 5 m, in natural stone, melting into the blue of the ocean for a permanent spectacle.

Every morning, a homemade breakfast prepared with fresh local produce, served with seasonal fruit — sweet or savoury according to your mood, and gluten-free on prior request.
For early departures, we are happy to prepare a breakfast to take away, simply ask the evening before. A dedicated guest area is also available in the shared kitchen.
